Montevecchio Moscato
It’s all moscato giallo from the Chalmers Heathcote vineyard. Wild yeast fermented and sees lees contact. Nail on head for the alcohol percentage. SO.... delicious. Easy to drink. Sweet but balanced with light fizz and mandarin acidity cutting and thrusting. Big perfume of lemon sorbet, ginger, mandarin, light honey and honeysuckle flowers. Palate is more of the lemon sorbet, sweeter and softer perhaps, limey characters, orange sherbet and gentle honeyed notes. Well balanced, well done. A delight. 90 points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
